At this point, Paul McCartney (because he was, you know, a Beatle) and I suppose Springsteen. Maybe Tom Petty, if the tix were reasonable AND he wasn't playing the rote greatest hits tour. When I was a lad, seeing say Yes or ELP in a hockey ring was such an overwhelming intense experience. But now I just find those cavernous barns way too big and the acoustics way too lame to make it worth my time or dough. I may go see the Derek Trucks/Santana tour, because I love Trucks and I'd like to see him with Carlos because I'm sure they'll play together. But that won't be too pricey. Then again I may not, although were it to be held at Radio City or the Beacon, I'm there in a flash. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Drew MacDonald" To: Sent: Thursday, February 14, 2008 8:19 PM Subject: Re: The Police Fan Club - Police/Elvis Double Bill > Who IS on it? > > On Thu, Feb 14, 2008 at 3:12 PM, Josh Chasin wrote: > >> At my advanced age, there is a very small handful of artists I might >> consider paying several hundred $$ to see in a hockey rink.
