It's hard to say if it's anything specific that happened during the session, but NIck complains about something Dave does. You can see Dave just ready to snap. He let's Nick know he is not pleased. Then they get on with the job. You have to understand, they had just finished a big US tour a week or so before they started recording two albums at once. We interviewed Nick after one of the SF shows and he was very very drunk and pretty funny. There were a couple of surreal moments which are echoed in the doc. I think it was just a combination of serious drinking and other "influences". No one got out of that band in one piece. Nick and Dave never did anything as good again. Terry Williams just lost it. He isn't able to play much anymore. It's really a sad case. Billy's done some stuff, but he needed those others, as they needed each other. I saw Nick in 1984, doing a small gig at the Half Moon, in Putney. He had Paul Carrack, and Martin Belmont. They were really good, but it wasn't Rockpile. Read Deke Leonard's book Rhinos Winos and Lunitics for some great Dave Edmunds stories. rs Christopher Kouzes wrote: >Anyone know what was the cause of the falling out? > >-----Original Message----- >From: audities-owner@smoe.org [mailto:audities-owner@smoe.org] On Behalf >Of r sanchez >Sent: Monday, February 18, 2008 10:33 AM >To: audities@smoe.org >Subject: Re: Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds > >These clips are from the Southbank Doc called Born Fighters.
