I think Amy Winehouse deserved the award. What other artist in her  
category sold as much, was talked about as much, or caused as much of  
a stir, even BEFORE all the wackiness started happening?

Sure she is a hot mess but even before all that people who didn't  
even listen to top 40 knew about "rehab" in the same way that "crazy"  
a few years ago crossed over.
