Agree with Costello.  Always great.  Other folks that are great live, funny on stage, and always engaging - even though they're not necessarily power pop - are Chris Isaak, Hall & Oates, John Wesley Harding, BNL, The Decemberists, Robyn Hitchcock, and The Posies.
