This is absolutely unbelievable to me. I'm not surprised, hearing some things here and there, but that is INSANE! I actually got angry when I read this post! How does that happen? Is anyone suing? How many people paid into it? When I did the Sugarplastic 7" subscription, it was a challenge, believe me. People paid $50 up front and I had to deliver 7 records plus bonus stuff, but I was depending on the band AND the artist, not just myself It took us about 8 months longer than I would have liked, but damnit, we got those 7 records out to every subscriber. This is like the Kindercore singles club, still owing at least 2 singles. . . and several other similar plans. But $100 a month!!??!! He probably could have farted and made a recording of it and at least it would have been SOMETHING. OOOH, I'm so mad! okay, I'm not mad anymore. anna --- waldrop.kirk@comcast.net wrote: > Unfortunately, Pat Dinizio pulled the same trick a > few years back with his "Patrons" program. > "Patrons" paid out $100/month for a year ($1200 > total for the math-impaired), in return for: > > - countless demos > - "Patron" exclusive multi-album sets of new > material > - Live DVDs > - a Pat solo show in your home (or wherever else) > coupled with a show for a charity of your choice > - and numerous other things that would entice folks > to sign up... > > ...none of which ever materilized.
