I've exchanged email with a very long time subscriber who
suggested to me that I arrange the existing list server
@ Smoe.ORG be reconfigured with a new name & new management.
This way no one has to resubscribe, or gets lost, or left
behind, and my concerns are still addressed.

I still feel long term moving to a new platform will take the
list beyond just being a list, and into the world of web 2.0
collaboration (my brand new day job btw).

But short term this requires no disruption, and could be
accomplished as soon as next weekend.

This idea is so simple it's brilliant. Which is why it never
occurred to me :)
