Vinyl is one of the main reasons my buddy's record store is surviving.
 He says it's the only place he's seen growth in the last 5 years.
His store is about 50/50 now - shelf-space-wise.  Re-issues of
classics and new items selling equally well.

My first comment was regarding 7" only - I misunderstood the question a bit.
