25 tops, unnumbered cause I'm lame and without comments cause it's been busy as hell and I wanted to get these in on time. They are, however, listed in an order that probably indicates their presence in my mind as well as the frequency with which I played them. I thought it was a GREAT year musically; I listened to something like 600 new albums at least once this year, and a shocking number of those demanded repeated attention. You could pick any of a wide range of subgeneres - let's say "Edgy BritPopsters who listened to lots of the Buzzcocks and Gang of Four - and find at least five terrific albums that are keepers - let's say The Arctic Monkeys, 1990s, The Maccabees, The Cribs, The Enemy - point being, there are a lot of records missing that I anticipate being staples in my collection for a long time to come; still not sure how Sharon Jones, Graham Parker, Mitch Easter, Bettye Lavette or Robert Wyatt aren't on here, just to name a few, but I guess it's just too much of a good thing. :-) POP Jens Lenkman - Night Falls Over Kortedala The Broken West - I Can't Go On, I'll Go On BC Camplight - Blink of a Nihilist Georgie James - Places The Red Button - She's About to Cross My Mind Ken Sharp - Sonic Crayons Trolleyvox - Your Secret Safe/Luzerne The Foreign Films - S/T The Ruby Suns - S/T Wiretree - Bouldin Future Clouds and Radar - S/T P.
