>From: Hersh Forman > >Greatly missed in 2007: The Rosenbergs, Cloud Eleven, Doug Powell, IKE/John Faye, Cliff Hillis, The Churchills, The Scones IKE actually released 'IKE Presents the Living Room Show' in the middle of the year - a great live album that was recorded at one of their living room shows in Atlanta. I kind of assumed that it would be a mellow, acoustic disc but I was wrong - it's the full on band. If you've never seen them live, this is great (and some great banter between songs). They go back as far as some John Faye Power Trip stuff. Then, in December, they released 'Where to Begin'. The copyright on the CD is actually 2008 (but the CD release party was held the day after Christmas). With two new members (Cliff Hillis and Dave Anthony are gone), this one rocks BIG time. A much harder edge than their last disc, and I'm loving it. The single "We Like Sugar" is getting airplay on Philadelphia heavyweight rock station WMMR. Believe me when I tell you, 'MMR doesn't play too many indie releases. Right now, I'm thinking is this the best release by John Faye - and that's saying something. I hope to see it next year at this time on many Auditeers top 20 of 2008. Listen to 'em here: http://myspace.com/ike. The rocker "Say Luvva" and a couple others are posted as well. Mike
