Yes..I did an extensive internet search...apparently Argentina is just like Iran..no gay men or women exist.. Actually, the had the Gay World Cup of Soccer here about a month after I got here..the final was Argentina vs England..they showed some highlights on the tv and the players got a little chippy..in fact, i remember watching and laughing because in one scene the Argentine player slid into an England player pretty hard (it was a foul)..and as the England player got up he called the Argentine player a C@@T..they didnt bleep it because it was in English...classic!! Also, a big deal was made here about the opening of a Gay Only Hotel..it sort of resides in a residential area and the folks around the neighborhood didn´t seem to mind because the ¨gays are tranquilo¨..i.e., the gays are relaxed.. ; ) ----- Mensaje original ----- De: AssociationWorks Fecha: Viernes, Enero 11, 2008 3:28 pm Asunto: Re: random observations on music from Argentina > Gabe, > > But we know for sure they don't play any "gay" music in Argentina, > right?I mean.... you wouldn't have moved there if they did, right > :-) > > Jeff > > ----- Original Message ----- > > Date: Thu, 10 Jan 2008 19:28:32 -0600 > > From: > > To: audities@smoe.org > > Subject: random observations on music from Argentina > > Message-ID: <5cde72eb20df4.478671e0@fibertel.com.ar> > > > > Been in Argie for 4 months...here is my first music observations > > > > "Fool to Cry" by the Rolling Stones is still in rotation on one > of the > rock n roll stations here > > > > The Police played to 100 thousand fans at River Plate stadium > > > > Some band (Argie pop band) named "Soda Stereo" played for 100 > thousandfans at the River Plate stadium for 3 shows > > > > My 50 something old cab driver, who did not speak English, still > new all > the words to Strange Love by Depeche Mode > >
