We've been lucky enough to play 2 of the 3 IPOs that David Bash threw in Philadelphia, and I, for one, have always been grateful for his tireless promotion of Pop music. What he's doing must take a truly psychotic amount of work. And I have to imagine that whatever remuneration he receives (if, indeed, there's any at all) is far outweighed by the energy and commitment he puts into it, not to mention his out-of-pocket costs. And as an aside: the other night, my 2-year-old daughter walked up to me and announced (pretty much appropo of nothing), "Daddy, you're in a time-out!" I'm starting to feel like this list maybe needs one, too. john micek np: Kate Nash, "Made of Bricks." I will promote this young woman to the stars. It's most refreshing record I've heard in ages. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Matt Whitby" To: Sent: Thursday, January 10, 2008 3:24 PM Subject: Re: Bashing IPO > Whilst I appreciate the David can answer for himself and already has, > i'd like to stand up and be counted in my appreciation of what he > does. > > > On 10/01/2008, zoogang@cox.net wrote: >> I never thought I'd see the day that David Bash got bashed on Audities. >> And with an attack on the business of IPO?
