Who put together that show? It was so embarrassing. The best artists you could get for the musical tribute were Lyle Lovett and Hootie and the Blowfish? Nothing personal against Lovett, but he can't sing, so he made "God Only Knows" sound terrible. (Maybe the point was to demonstrate that Wilson's music is so beautiful that it's beauty cannot be diminished by Lyle Lovett's singing.) And nothing against Hootie and the Blowfish, but this is a mediocre group that hasn't had a hit in ten years and was totally incapable of performing the songs. Even with the help of a battalion of offscreen singers they still sounded terrible. I could see if they were one of a number of bands, but they let H and the BF do three songs! If they couldn't get any appropriate big name artists, then they should've at least gotten Carnie and Wendy Wilson to perform. That would've made some sense on an emotional level. (The same thing went for the Diana Ross tribute, even though Jordin Sparks actually sang well. I'm sure Miss Ross was watching Ciara thinking "Where's that bi#@h Beyoncé?! She couldn't show up to salute me?!) _________________________________________________________________ Share life as it happens with the new Windows Live. http://www.windowslive.com/share.html?ocid=TXT_TAGHM_Wave2_sharelife_122007
