Agree about Deface. I have listened to it exactly twice -- once when I bought it on vinyl and again when I bought it on CD. Each time I thought to myself -- why bother? But that's the enigma that is Todd. And the first Vinyl Kings CD always makes me smile. Any comments on the follow-up? ----- Original Message ---- From: bob To: audities@smoe.org Sent: Friday, November 23, 2007 10:22:27 PM Subject: Re: 25 albums...and more... Yep...Deface The Music...because he DIDN'T pull it off. That's the beauty of the CD. Todd as fanboy, missing the mark. A fine, (and normal outcome), for people that actually think the Beatles are 'easy to do'. There is only one album that hits the mark, and that's 'A Little Trip' by the Vinyl Kings, or...if you really want to hear someone nail The Beatles, try 'Ram', by some guy named Paul McCartney. Boy, did he let me down after that... For fans of Paul McC Beatles period music, check out MeeK...he's French, he lives in Paris...he makes Paul McCartney sound old and in the way... bob Hersh Forman wrote: Hey Bob: I think you mean "Deface The Music" for your #6 pick, a CD that it is generally agreed killed any chance of commercial success for Utopia after the fantastic "Adventures in Utopia". I mean, an entire CD of "Beatlesque" songs tossed off by Todd et al just so Todd could prove he could do it? Sheesh... ----- Original Message ---- From: bob To: audities Sent: Friday, November 23, 2007 3:46:10 AM Subject: 25 albums...and more... 1.
