Hmmm....if you go back and look at the thread of this email, no one ever claimed that Joy Division were extremely skilled musicians. Indeed, they were not. But I think you are missing the main point regarding the movie which was that the actors did a great job in recreating the look and sound of the group. We felt that was a great accomplishment. Why statements regarding the actor's and filmakers's talents produced a crass comment that Joy Division were "wanks that could barely play" is anyone's guess.
