"Utterly unlistenable" is overstating the case, I think. Flowers is hardly a favorite Macca album for me, but there are high points--"My Brave Face," "Motor of Love," and a few others. I will say the production is a bit heavy handed, but "utterly unlistenable"...nope. Perhaps the problem is too many producers cooking up the collective broth. Just about "utterly unlistenable" would apply to my least favorite Macca platter, Driving Rain.
