>Mary Hopkin has a new CD "Valentine" of recordings made between 1972-80 >with her husband Tony Visconti. >There's a cover of Sparks Never Turn Your Back on Mother Earth... Wow! Another Sparks cover?!?! They must be on the cusp of some bigger recognition...hell in line with recent threads: a tribute album. Justin Hawkins of the Darkness has recorded a version of "This Town Ain't Big Enough For the Both of Us" which isn't bad, although there seems to be a buttload of technology applied to the vocals(ie:harmonizers and pitch correction) There's a video on youtube for those interested. I hope that Sparks get their due. I've gotten all 22 albums since my first posting/query about them and I can honestly say that even music genres I don't really like can be made listenable, and even likable, by the Brothers Mael. There's a charm and a charisma that translates blah music into something zesty. I love Sparks, my new favorite band. Yeah! later, joe www.jtgimplosion.com www.myspace.com/thejtgimplosion
