ZAPPA PLAYS ZAPPA is a pretty amazing show - I'm hoping to catch that in 
Phoenix later this summer. Of course, I would also see THE GRANDMOTHERS or 
BANNED FROM UTOPIA in a heartbeat as well. (All three bands are chock full 
of ex-Mothers and/or Zappa sidemen and while I prefer my Frank recordings to 
have actual Frank ingredients, this is damned close!)

There is a band in Buffalo NY that is supposed to be a very good FZ cover 
band with *no* bloodline...and I must admit that I would try that one.

ps - I guess I also have to count THE 21ST CENTURY SCHIZOID BAND, which is 
basically early King Crimson w/o Lake and Fripp (but with one guy, Jakko, 
who plays like Fripp and sings the Lake parts). McDonald, Giles, Collins, 
etc. - *very* good stuff. If you like the first three KC albums you need to 
see and hear this.
