as a guy who came up through comics and sf zines and APAS and all 
that stuff - yay!
it made me a better person I think (rats - just noticed the pen leak 
in my shirt pocket)

gestetner, abdick, ditto, mimeo, Roneo - hahhahahaa.... the ditto 
machine was the one that used
alcohol - phew!!!

greg shaw came up via the SF zine scene - all the early rock mags 
were on mimeograph
