Despite the fact that it's Memorial Day here in the States, I just spent a very awesome half-hour chatting with Graham Gouldman about everything from 10cc and Wax (U.K.) to his favorite interpretation of one of his compositions (Chris Isaak's "Heart Full of Soul") and the chances of seeing "Animalympics" on CD or DVD (there have been tentative discussions, but, mostly, he's just amused by the fact that people care enough about it to upload clips of it to YouTube). We also talked about his songwriting collaborations with Suggs, Chris Difford, Kirsty MacColl, and Gary Barlow from Take That, as well as his new songwriting and recordings with Kevin Godley. We even successfully segued into a discussion about his producing the Ramones' Pleasant Dreams. Anyway, I'll drop a line to the list when the chat's gone live on Bullz-Eye, but I just had to share the experience with the list. It's not an "aren't I cool" thing; it's an "I know some of ya'll will appreciate this on the same fanboy level that I did" thing. :-) Best, WiLL William Harris Associate Editor Bullz-Eye.com 1403 Earle Ave. Chesapeake, VA 23324 Ph.
