Funny you should mention "She'sSo Young", Kerry - for me that was the stand-out track of that album, and probably the only one I'd remember by the mention of it's title. Other than that, Andy Bopp's voice always seemed too squeezed into the upper register for me to truly enjoy his singing. A lot of power-pop seems to be made to be admired rather than loved. Mind you, music doesn't have to be original for me to love it. I love the Shazam for Hans Rotenberry's singing, I love the Vandalias for their devotion to creating the perfect cartoon band on a shoestring budget. I get your point though, a lot of what we label important is actually disposable in retrospect. I mean who talks much about Mercury Rev these days?
