This is why I like CHAOS AND CREATION so much (and also why
I like the last two Dylan albums.)   McCartney made no effort
to keep up with the times and/or be innovative.  He just went
with his old, comfortable style and put a lot of effort into the
songwriting, which I think was solid throughout.   There's nothing
remotely groundbreaking here, but I must say I enjoy this album
more than anything he has done since BAND ON THE RUN.  There
are definitely some single songs he did in the meanwhile that I like
better than anything on this album, but no album as a whole that
I find as satisfying.
