I'm not arguing that *All Things Must Pass* is one of the greatest albums of all time. As I said above, it's an album that has one very serious and extensive flaw, and a few songs besides that big flaw that are filler in and of themselves. I can think of a whole bunch of double/triple albums that are as good or better, in large part because they don't squander so much space on tedious jam sessions that nobody's ever listened to twice. All I'm saying is that *ATMP* has more good songs on it than does *Sgt. Pepper*, which in the final analysis is how I always measure the strength or weakness of an album. But by those lights I would argue that there are *a lot* of albums that're better than *Sgt. Pepper*. Also, the worthless sides of *ATMP* are sides five and six, not side four. Sides five and six of the original vinyl version were the so-called "Apple Jam" sides. Greg Sager
