 I was pretty young when this first hit the airwaves of ABC radio in NYC. 
And I can't even begin to describe the feelings I had when this would 
come on the radio. Man I loved this cover, and to this day, every so 
often I play my Shinin' On CD and it so takes me back. 

 "EVER to have graced the American top 40" is correct
