A movie preview *is* a compilation of scenes from an entire film with a single thematic vision....or in the case of the new "Vacancy" ads, they show the entire movie using fast edits. I regularly judge whether I will see a movie by its preview because one thing a good OR bad movie preview will show is whether the actors and the subject matter are interesting enough to lure me in. The movies "Blood Money" and "The Departed" were passes for me as I wasn't remotely moved by either the casting or the subject matter of either regardless of whether there was a substantial plot or good acting. Everyone's mileage varies. A song from an album on the other had is merely ONE of those scenes....and, obviously, isn't reflective of the whole album because, unlike movies, most albums AREN'T thematic (not these days anyway). > love the tune > it Sounds like an actual single to me the analogy works for me because there are many times a preview will look corny and I'll dig the movie I was responding really to what felt like a pre mature emaculation I completely agree w your conclusion about his great singles and not nearly as great albums for me that's what made that band he used to be in so spectacular The Beatles Are Gods Get Over it.
