Still known for one of the best-named albums of all time: "You Can Tune A Piano, But You Can't Tuna Fish" I can imagine the tour sponsorships from Star*Kist rolling in.... ----- Original Message ---- From: Will Harris To: audities@smoe.org Sent: Saturday, April 7, 2007 12:10:21 AM Subject: If there are any AOR fans on the list (and you're willing to out yourselves as such)... I just did a review of REO Speedwagon's new album (Find Your Own Way Home) and - to my surprise - it's a rather strong record. In fact, not to damn it with faint praise, but, frankly, it's the best thing I can remember hearing from them since the '80s. Also, in a wise attempt to score better-than-average sales to a consumer base who could pretty well care less about any new material they might have to offer, no matter how good it might be, the band is packaging it in a limited-edition set with a bonus CD (a live re-recording of Hi Infidelity in its entirety) and DVD (an unplugged performance and interview from the XM Radio studios). Is 2007 to be the year of an REO Speedwagon comeback.? Nah, probably not.but, then, stranger things have happened. (After all, who'd've thought they had another good album in them, either?)
