In Canada, the UK band Bush were prevented from using their name by a pre-existing Canadian band of the same name from the early 70¹s who are famous for...preventing Bush releasing albums in Canada under their chosen name. So they released their first two albums there as ³Bush X². In April 1997, original Bush founder Domenic Troiano and UK Bush singer Gavin Rossdale reached an agreement under which Rossdale's band were permitted to use the name Bush without the letter X, in exchange for donating $20,000 each to the Starlight Foundation and the Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund.
