Gosh, I think the past three albums have songs that would have fit right into several of his classic albums, and Peachtree Road might even belong on the same shelf. He did a concert in Atlanta on release day that was recorded, playing the whole album, and a set of classics and both sounded swell. The new one's not as good - and largely fails in its ambition as a sequel - but is still worth owning (and beats the hell out of some of those 80s albums). -----Original Message----- From: synthhtnys@comcast.net To: audities@smoe.org Sent: 2/6/2007 1:09 PM Subject: Re: advice on BMG CDs? > Elton John - Captain and the Kid - is this the return to form that some > ads claim? *Do you like his recent stuff? I don't. I consider his 70's output among the finest pop, but just can't get into anything he's done for years.. I was very disappointed with this CD. His voice is dull to my ears. There are a few good moments, but not enough that I would recommend it to anyone. ======================================================================= Detailed Audities-List information: To manage your Audities List settings or unsubscribe:
