Well, since I don't like any bad or embarrassing music, I haven't had to carry around all this guilt like some of you. But since you mention Foreigner, gack, I must say... shame on you! I still remember the first time I heard them It was at KSAN. Some big label promo guy was sitting in on a dj's show. When this came on he just went nuts, playing air drums, and saying how great it was. In the post-Boston era, I was very suspicious of this style of music. Still am, as you can tell. Interesting side note, I worked at a record store with Donny Mancuso, who had played guitar with Lou Grammatico in Black Sheep. Donny was a huge Paul Kossoff fan, and could do that tremolo thing. I'm surprised he never managed to find a place in a good band. Another kid I worked with was offered the keyboard spot in Eddie Money's band, but took a pass. They guy who took the gig did very well for himself. Don't let me tell you what is good or bad, just enjoy it, no matter how gawd awful it might really be. What every turns your crank.
