Did I miss the reply about iTunes not working properly under Vista? I appreciate that it's not Microsoft's job to ensure every piece of software works under their new operating system.... but frankly it's a killer for me. I don't say this as an employee shilling for Microsoft, I say it as a music fan with 2 terrabytes of MP3s who wants to play them anytime anywhere, including to get through the workday on my Vista desktop and laptop. ;-) > > I'd argue about whether or not this is really FUD, but that said, their are a lot of valuable points in the paper, esp. WRT hardware, digital output, graphics cards and HD content. The paper also rightfully points out that much of this is being done at the request of content owners, esp. major movie studios. > > The funny thing, of course, is MS has been consistently hammered in the past for not being secure enough, and know they'll get taken to task for security being too onerous. > > I'm going to post about Tonio K. now... > > > Michael Coxe wrote: > The definitive *living* article on the Vista DRM issue. > A non-FUD analysis cited by hundreds of blogs and sites: > > A Cost Analysis of Windows Vista Content Protection > > http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~pgut001/pubs/vista_cost.html > > - michael > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Everyone is raving about the all-new Yahoo!
