I don't think it would look that much different from 20 years ago - when I
was in university people flew to go see Peter Gabriel and Pink Floyd
concerts - spending big chuncks of  money - then saw twenty great bands thru
the year at the bar for 5-10 bucks each - and hopefully bought a cd or a
t-shirt.  Those contemporary bands I guess are all the ones the young guys
around me like that I don't know - and they seem to be able to see them in
small - medium sized venues - but it's usually so far off my radar that I
don't even realize they've been to town.  Scream-o!
