The older I get the more behind I seem to get. Meaning, I could do a better top 20 for 2005 (or maybe 2004 - finally got the Barn Burners in 2006) than I can do top 20 for 2006 - still so many albums to be digested or to be heard for the first time. That said, I am sure that the following will be on my list of the top albums of 2006, whenever I create the list: Willie Nile - Streets of New York Scott Miller - Citation Rhett Miller - the Believer Bill Lloyd - Horizontal Hold Chris Brown - Now That Your Fed Bob Dylan - Modern Times I am also pretty sure I would include Pernice Brothers, Winnerys and the Format. Biggest Disappoint Will Kimbrough's Amercanitis - I love all his previous recordings, but polemics usually with rare exceptions don't make for great albums. Bill
