Love this line--and I agree with it. I also have absolutely no desire to see the Cirque Beatles' show (or any other Cirque show, for that matter). But at the same time, I've enjoyed my repeated listenings of "Love". Even though these definitely are "audio Mona Lisas" being monkeyed with, I can enjoy the CD as I listen to it and then know it's ultimately disposable entertainment. Honestly, as a huge music hound, there are fewer and fewer CDs I come back to after the first dozen or so spins. Individual tracks, sure. Full CDs? Rarely. I suspect that's the case for many of us Auditeers, especially when I see annual "best of" lists that are so long that many repeated listens would be near impossible given the time necessary for such a task (and/or pleasure). Much of what we love in music---irrespective of genre--- is almost literally in one ear and out the other. Then it's on to the next discovery. Joe Field http://FlyingColorsComics.com
