Mine choice is The Hellacopter's Rock and Roll is Dead. It'll probably wind up as my #1 CD of the year as well (it came out in the UK in late `05, but here in January of this year). It's a tight little rock CD- great short guitar solos, nice vocals and melodic as hell. It reminds me of a tighter version of Oasis or Jet or earlier Cheap Trick (if all their songs were 2 1/2 - 3 minutes). I heard one song of theirs on the Little Steven's Underground Garage channel on Sirius one morning and picked up that night. Nothing radical, but not much else this year got my foot tapping as hard as this one. > So let's start with one album, ANY album, that might be floating under the > radar of most people. Tell us.
