November 21, 2006] --For one night only, St. Louis' power-pop group, The Sun Sawed in 1/2, will perform on Saturday, December 2nd at Lemmonıs, located at 5800 Gravois Avenue. Opening acts begin at 9:00 pm and the band will take the stage at 10:00 pm. Although the band reunited for a select few special events over the past few years in Chicago, Boston and Liverpool, England as part of the International Pop Overthrow Festivals, this will be The Sun Sawed in 1/2ıs first St. Louis appearance in five years. The band will perform songs from their five albums as well as new songs from songwriter Tim Rose's new group, Fresh Mowed Lawn (based in Boulder, CO and featuring former Sun drummer Matt Martin). The Sun Sawed in1/2 was formed in 1989 by brothers Tim and Ken Rose and quickly became a mainstay of the St. Louis pop music scene throughout the nineties. During that time, they recorded five albums and toured extensively both in the United Sates and abroad. The band has undergone several personnel transformations in its seventeen-year history, counting among its ranks several of St. Louisı finest musicians. The show will feature many former Sun players, including: Doug Bobenhouse (vocals), Ken Rose (bass, vocals), Tim Rose (guitar, backing vocals), Jeff Bartholic (guitar), Ken Kase (guitar, backing vocals), John Holt (keyboards).
