Topical songwriting can work with subtlety, wit or some well placed
anger. In our world The Mockers have had some success at this.
But performance wise I side with Pete Townsend @ Woodstock when he
gave Abbie Hoffman a guitar headbut and a chorus of "Fuck off my
fucking stage!".

But if had to like a musician's politics or personality or lifestyle
to enjoy their music it would be awfully damn quiet!! ;>
(...and vice versa I'm sure vis-a-vis fan & musician...)
