just wanted to say David Bash did an awesome job with IPO Boston this year.....Boston is not, and has never been, imho, especially supportive of pop bands, tho it loves it's Real Kids/Lyres/Ramones stuff, which ain't a bad thing either!!! anyway, didn't get to see as much as I wanted too, tho the Flashcubes were swell as usual, and did an AWESOME version of the Move's "Hello Susie" which was unexpected and cool!! some nifty bands like Rooftop Suicide were great and last band up on Monday night was a buncha teenagers called the Mystery Tramps, whom I remarked to David that I thought they were the Speedies of IPO!!! anyway, for kids they were dang good! i could do without the ska stuff they did, but they did it well, not to mention a scorching cover of the Blues Magoos "We Ain't Got Nothin Yet" which was tremendous.... alas, i drove David down to IPO NY on Tuesday so all good things must come to an end..... thanks again David and Jay D. too!! jim
