Thanks for the kind words about Geoff Gibbons and Dee Long.... As for me, well, I had intended to be part of this contingent when it was organized many, many months ago. But Labour Day weekend is traditionally my wife Sharons trip to Atlanta to work at DragonCon -- featuring a 25,000 strong contingent of nerds, geeks and Sci-Fi dweebs all rallying to meet and rub shoulders with their TV and movie heroes. Sharon was George Takei's personal assistant all weekend and with her busy in Atlanta I couldn't in all good conscience leave my son in Toronto for 5 days while I trapsed off to Vancouver to spend time with nerds, geeks and Power Pop dweebs all rallying to meet and rub shoulders with David Bash. :-) I wish I'd been there.....though, I count myself lucky to have seen the final day of IPO L.A. two weeks ago while we vacationed in California. I was in my element for sure. :-) Can't wait to hear about IPO Vancouver Day #4 with the surprise performance of the reunited Payolas. Now...how's about we finally organize that IPO Toronto that David and I have been talking about for years?
