The following MySpace recommendation may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I am sure there are a few people on this list who will enjoy it. Itīs by Danish artist Joey Groon who has a MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/joeygroon His music isn't the usual kind of pop/rock, but it's a mixture of acoustic pop/rock with experimental electronica/jazz. Groon himself calls it GrooN! Pop. On his MySpace page you can find a few examples; listen carefully to Maybe September and - especially - I Just Died Inside, two pop-orientated songs with a GrooN! twist to it. Whatīs remarkable about Joey Groon is that the music was written, produced, arranged and played (including strings and trumpet) by an only 16 year old (he will turn 17 in September). He hasn't any records out (yet), but has founded his own record company to do so in the near future. Anyway, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but give it a listen, I know some of you might like it. I know I did, and I have been playing I Just Died Inside and Maybe September ever since I first heard them! Patrick Beckers
