I don't believe that it's because are NOT buying online, but rather what it is that they are buying. Everyone has likely become more selective with what that can afford to purchase with the ridiculous increases in gas prices, which of course affects prices for other stuff as well (the good ol' ripple effect - maybe that's what we all need - a Ripple effect). And retail sales? Those are usually planned purchases...there's an agenda involved if you are actually making a physical trip to shop. Online shopping seems to be more impulse (i.e. "Oh wow, I haven't seen that in a store, I have to get it NOW"). I know I personally haven't been able to buy everything I've wanted lately 'cause I have to watch those gas shekels. Unfortunately I can't carry my keyboards on a bicycle. My two cents worth, Brioohs -- THE OOHS at http://www.theoohs.com or http://www.myspace.com/theoohs LLAMALAMP is here - LET YOUR INNER LIGHT SHINE!
