Robyn would probably be the first to agree. (That is, after asking, "What royalties?") Barrent is probably second only to Dylan in terms of RH's major influences. He's been covering Syd stuff from the beginning. He and the Soft Boys cut a live version of "Gigolo Aunt" in their original go-round, and I saw them do "Astronomy Domine" during their recent reunion tour. I know I've seen him do "Dark Globe" and "Vegetable Man," he did "Dominoes" on the BBC Syd docu and I've heard tell of entire sets devoted to Barrett covers. Hats off to the Madcap, of course, but Robyn has far outgrown the influence. Drew np: Brookville - LIFE IN THE SHADE -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
