As usual, I come to the discussion late, but here's the new stuff I've been listening to lately (much from emusic, some from Not Lame, some from Amazon.uk -- I don't find much of interest at the local stores lately) Sparks Get Set Go The Beautiful South These three have been non-stop in my listening rotation since getting each of them. Additional new discs that get listened to quite regularly are the newest from: Kaiser George & the Hi-Risers The Elms MercyMe The Zutons Belle & Sebastian Eagles of Death Metal Very new and getting listened to, but too early to see if they have staying power yet: Cheap Trick The Futureheads Plus, I know that a while back there was a lot of discussion about the release of The Honeybus' collection -- I just found and began listening to Pete Dello's solo album "Into Your Ears." I don't know if this was referenced much in the original discussion about The Honeybus, but this has quickly become one of my favorite albums!! Talk about wonderful Beatles-influenced pop with that English music-hall influence. There's at least 4 songs on here that should have been killer singles. It's a total shame that this is no longer available somehow.
