I thought it was a great match as well. Adam's original (excellent) idea was to get young songwriters on board for the project who were influenced by the band & or the era to create a classic America record rather than having them try and sound like Fall Out Boy or something. I think the idea still holds in some part although I now believe (as per Adam) that the band's written most of the material themselves with the outside contributions mostly coming from 'stars' they hope to get on board so more attention will be brought to the project I wrote a song for the album that Adam pitched to the band but given the current climate I doubt it will be cut. If anybody's interested in listening for a laugh let me know and maybe I'll post the demo somewhere or something.
