I sought out an ep by a group from Australia about a year ago after I guy I know saw them at a showcase and recommended them to me. The ep was by a band called Wolfmother and was released on the Modular label.
Once I heard them myself I had to agree that they were pretty good hard rock in an early Black Sabbath meets the White Stripes jamming to Led Zeppelin tunes way. I would even throw in a possible Stooges comparison as well.
I see that they have a full cd coming out this week and it will be interesting to read any comments on that once people have had a chance to check it out. I am especially curious to see if the Jim Diamond style production surfaces on the  the major label release.
