Bright Eyes is the song from Watership Down and was sung by Art Garfunkel.
It was a No.1 in the UK and is indeed rather lovely.

These days Mike Batt is the songwriter and producer behind Katie Melua's
records. Don't know what impact she has had outside the UK but she has been
really successful here with records in the Norah Jones ballpark. 'Closest
Thing To Crazy' would be the best known.
