paul hyde and bob rock have been recording a new Payolas album go to: http;//www.paulhydemusic.com they played a week long stand in vancouver two years ago as The payolas (they were the only original members) with session guys. great show - all the hits in chronological order with song by song commentary by paul. previewed two new songs. As i said - a fantastic show - there was supposed to be a tour but it did not happen. as paul is on my label and working on his new lp + a side project (Go Go Kings) - i asked him about it at the time (2 years ago). The Payolas are Bob Rock's project. Any label interest in The Payolas goes to Bruce Allen, Bob Rock's manager. I assume that if Bruce wanted Universal to re-release payolas cds - he has the power to do so (whether Universal can create proper re-issues that collectors and fans expect is doubtful - no Canadian major labels re-issue back catalog on cds properly nor do they really care, to be honest. Unless the government mandates that also, it will never happen). The limited edition charity cd that jaimie is talking about, i have never seen, but again, jaimie, if you have the money, just contact Bruce Allen. He's actually a lot more approachable than the reputation that precedes him. That is all I know. If anyone is not familiar with the Rock & Hyde cd on EMI/Capitol - find it - buy it - one of my favourite albums ever.
