I kinda love phony hype too, but only when I've been involved in creating it LOL. I mean really, I made up fake people and listed them in the first print issue of audities so we wouldn't look so tiny. Even listed one as Bill Goldman so there would be a jewish guy on the staff and record execs would take the mag more serious. I setup an answering system with a long list of extensions (if you know your parties extension dial it now) even when it was just anthony and I sitting in the small bedroom of the houston house(BTW, the patent that covers press "1" for blah, press "2" for something else is actually mine!) I justified it because I really did care about promoting lesser known music (and getting tons of free promo cds too!) I think now where I get frustrated is that I've grown up enough where I'd like to just tell the truth and treat others as I would want to be treated. I'm even putting an online business together right now, and I'm not sure that approach would even work. Gotta spin-doctor it. I'm not going to, but I may do something funny like put some "alternate spin doctored pages" up for those that want to be mislead. Pick which one you like... Anyway, Here is your very very special only for *you* secret beta test invite... Well *you* and anyone who subscribes or reads usatoday. http://www.lala.com/invite/usatoday Cheers, Gary -----Original Message----- From: audities-owner@smoe.org [mailto:audities-owner@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Lee Elliott Sent: Friday, April 07, 2006 10:51 AM To: audities@smoe.org Subject: Re: www.lala.com World domination!
