I don't disagree (much) with what's been said lately about Todd, but I really liked the Liars CD and tour from a few years ago. His band (which included New Cars Kasim and Prairie) were outstanding. -----Original Message----- From: audities-owner@smoe.org [mailto:audities-owner@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Rick McCall Sent: Wednesday, April 05, 2006 11:11 AM To: audities@smoe.org Subject: Re: New Cars NOW we're getting to the bottom of this stuff. Same experience here and, I might add, many of the faithful feel screwed over by Todd's online subscription deal that apparently didn't yield what was promised. I'm a long-time fan - bought Something/Anything new when it came out as a kid - but the last ten years have left me cold. I've seen the same attitude described here and am wondering how much of his fan base is left? (aka, "the faithful") From my observations/from attending 20+ shows from 93-95 (and that many others between 74-93)....I've personally witnessed people walking out of Todd shows since he did "NWO" and tried to become MC500ft ToddJesus. Many times...it seems that Todd PURPOSELY leaves off the songs folks want to hear (the "hits") because he doesn't enjoy playing em...and because he's **always** ran squarely away from who he really is...which is a 70's tunesmith with marginal popularity who had enough success to thumb the industry.....and....who is NOW paying for that (ridiculous) stance through tribute concerts and tours held together with BONDO.
