When I noticed that Michael McCartney mentioned "Now Playing: "Priscilla" - The Explorers Club", it reminded me that I needed to send a note to Audities about the excellent two days I spent at IPO Nashville. I was only able to go to the Friday & Saturday night shows, but heard great music both nights. And the highlight of the entire weekend was the 30 minute set by The Explorers Club! Six guys, four singing & harmonizing. Lots of activity on stage and the lead singer was a very much in control of the entire set. People were dancing and singing and generally having a good time. They had no CD's for sale, but they did a pretty good business on the t-shirts they were selling. I for one am eagerly awaiting a CD release! Other highlights were the nearly hour long set by The Shazam, Rock E Rollins & Shame Idols put on high energy sets, Adam McIntrye was very good as were Millicent Friendly. Wish I could have stayed for Sunday night, but only have so much money & vacation time! Anyway, thanks to David Bash for another IPO (check one out for yourself - Bob Hutton comes all the way from Scotland for IPO, so you know something is right). And David's adding a couple of sites this year, so you'll have even less of an excuse not to go to one!
