Spent the last few days in Portland hanging with Man Of The Year (see 
episodes of Buffy The Vampire Slayer) and The Village Green. The latter is a 
band that fans of Van Dyke Parkes/Smile-era Beach Boys would enjoy. They're 
currently riding a wave of TV success with a song in the new Tampax 
commercials (yeah, the one about the pearls....). And we laughed and 
laughed. Nice guys, great sound. They've got a 6 song EP out through 
Burnside right now and are planning on mixing tracks for their full length 
in Seattle March 1-5th. Check 'em out in Austin if you can. They're doing 
four gigs during SXSW.
