Dear Michael, Jaimie and Bill, Holy smoke. It never occurred to me for a single second that I might be doing something inappropriate by trying to sell my compilations. Thanks for the heads up. I meant no harm, and I appreciate the smileys that accompanied your posts . I new that I was admitting to being a long-time (though long ago now) free file grabber, but I didn't consider it any further than that. Crikey. On the other hand, curiously enough I suppose, the response to my post has been quite good. I should sell the set today, in fact. I respectfully acknowledge all points of view on this subject, especially now that I've more fully considered them. I hope the fact that I never for a second even considered it wrong in the first place doesn't paint me with too broad a brush as a person who would deny artists their due. I'm sure none of the independent artists who I personally support would ever accuse me of being "that guy". Okay, NOW I'm awake. :-) This is a conundrum that I will continue to turn over in my mind today and in the future. And Michael, straight up: "I'm sorry" for breaking the rules. Where is my head? I should have offered these discs only to friends in my address book (and "In Real Life". Mea Culpa (with some restrictions and pending further consideration). jeff teez (I'm on digest! Please be patient!)
